Stock of medicines sufficient at allergy camp: DHO
By Mona Khan
ISLAMABAD—District Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad Dr. Fazle Maula on
Wednesday said that there is sufficient stock of medicines at the pollen
allergy camp to facilitate patients.
He categorically said that present stock is more than enough to meet the
requirements of patients till the concluding of the camp on March 31,
2208 for which Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration is
greatly thankful to the pharmaceutical companies and philanthropists who
generously donated medicines for the camp.
Similarly, ICT administration also acknowledged the contribution made by
the Pakistan Homeopathic Council and National Tibb Council for donating
medicines and services rendered by them for the camp.
He said that so far, 5400 patients have been treated at the camp. Giving
account of current pollen status, Dr. Fazle Maula informed that now
pollen count is decreasing rapidly day by day.
He said that its was 46,000 per cm when the camp started on March 17
while it has been presently reduced to the level of 9,000 per cm.
Consequently with the decrease in the pollen count, this number of
patients visiting camp is also reducing as compare to the first week of
the camp. During the first week, per day average of patients remained
500 to 600 where as during the second week, it was reduced to 300 o 400
patients.
He said that spring season is now being replaced by the summer season
and pollen allergy is also coming to an end.
It is to mention that Chief Commissioner Islamabad Hamid Ali Khan also
took keen interest in making camp a successful event and paid many
visits to camp to review arrangements. |
