Owner of blast vehicle killed in custody

LAHORE—The owner of the pick up which was used in FIA Building bomb blast on March 11 died in the lock up of Sabza Zar police station mysteriously.
According to police on Wednesday, deceased Muhammad Afzal s/o Muhammad Ashraf Awan of Bilal Gunj Lahore had purchased the vehicle No STK-3985 from Toyata’s dealer, King Motors Abbot Road.
During investigation, Afzal could not give cogent reasons for the sale of the vehicle. The cause of Afzal’s death has yet to be ascertained. The body of the deceased has been moved to the city morgue for post mortem. Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the officials who were on duty at the time of the incident.
The owner of the truck used in the suicide attack at FIA building on March 11 this year in Lahore, died mysteriously on Wednesday. According to police, the truck owner died of heart attack; however, it was learnt from the hospital sources that the torture marks are found on the dead body of the deceased, who belonged to Sialkot.
