Fahim won’t accept ministry

Islamabad—Senior PPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim, who was initially considered the front runner for the post of Prime Minister before Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani was nominated by his party, has said that he would accept no portfolio in the new government.
Amin Fahim categorically ruled out any role for himself in the new Gillani government, reported a private TV channel.
Responding to a question about the inclusion of his son in the new Sindh government, he said no decision had yet been made. When asked about his resignation from the office of president of ARD, he said the objective of ARD was over after the restoration of democracy.
Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari and newly elected Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani have finalized Federal Cabinet after consultation with all coalition Parties.—Online
