Shortage of medicines at Pollen allergy camp irks patients

ISLAMABAD—People living in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have complained of shortage of medicines at free pollen allergy camp set up by the ICT Administration on March 17 at Aabpara Community Centre.
The patients suffering from pollen allergy said that they are facing enormous difficulties due to shortage of free of cost medicine at the camp. When contacted authorities concerned as saying that overall 4600 pollen allergy patients have been treated so far at a free pollen allergy relief camp. More than 535 allergy patients were treated at the camp on Monday and all medicines were provided to the patients free of cost. The camp will remain continue till March 31.
The Islamabad Capital Territory Administration has been organizing free pollen allergy relief camps in the federal capital since 2004. Tens of thousands of allergy patients have been treated at the camp since 2004. On Islamabad Chief Commissioner Hamid Ali Khan’s directives, the administration has made special arrangements at the camp to provide treatment to the patients free of cost.—Online
