EDB to organize workshop for industrialists

ISLAMABAD—The Engineering Development Board (EDB) will organize a day-long workshop in the first week of April to educate and train Pakistani industrialists participating in Hannover fair this year.
The seminar will be held at a local hotel in Lahore on April, 5, said an EDB press release here on Tuesday adding that more than 100 industrialists are scheduled to participate in it.
Veteran industrialists will brief the participants about the benefits of exports to European Union, role of EDB in enhancing exports of engineering goods and services. EDB’s top officials are also scheduled to deliver lectures on the occasion.
It may be recalled that world’s leading technology fair will be held in Hannover (Germany) from 21st-25th April 2008.
EDB has planned to field 55 engineering companies at Hannover in two distinct technological categories including subcontracting synergy and power transmission.
The Hannover initiative of EDB would prove a turning point for the engineering goods and services producing companies of Pakistan to introduce their capabilities to the world.
