ISLAMABAD—Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani Tuesday took oath as country’s new Prime Minister for a term of five years. President Pervez Musharraf administered oath to the country’s 22nd prime minister at the Aiwan-e-Sadr at a grand ceremony attended by prominent political leaders from across the divide.The event was also attended by National Assembly Speaker Fehmida Mirza, Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi, outgoing caretaker Prime Minister Mohammadmian Soomro ....

US mistakenly sent nuke missile fuses to Taiwan

WASHINGTON—The Air Force mistakenly shipped to Taiwan four electrical fuses designed for use on intercontinental ballistic missiles, the Pentagon said Tuesday, but has since recovered them and launched an investigation. The error is particularly disturbing because of its indirect link to nuclear weaponry and because of the sensitivity of U.S. arms sales to Taiwan, which China regularly .....
