Elahi warns against clash of institutions

ISLAMABAD—PML-Q parliamentary leader in National Assembly (NA) has
warned clash between institutions will be harmful for the democracy. He
said this on the floor of the house after the election of leader of the
house. He held out assurance opposition will look different this time.
He went on to say “ We will take all along with us. We will continue to
remind them the pledges they have made with the nation that they will
halve the prices of the commodities. Several projects have been
completed in social sector and some are nearing to completion, he told.
“We made the education free upto matric and provided the books free of
cost and we would hope this government would extend this facility upto
graduation. We want no clash takes place between the institutions. We
want this assembly completes its 5 years term”, he underlined.
There should be no political vendetta, he said and cautioned “ we will
have to shun policies of victimization. Murder case was registered
against Ghaus Bakhsh Mehr and his son three days back which is
absolutely wrong”, he indicated. “We will not allow any cut in defence
budget, he maintained. Danish papers have hurt the sentiments of the
Muslim Ummah by printing blasphemous caricatures. We being elected
representatives of the people should condemn it through a resolution, he
demanded.
The deputy convener of MQM, Dr. Farooq Sattar has reiterated his party’s
wholehearted support for PML-N, despite any reservations of the later.
Talking to journalists outside Parliament House he expressed his
happiness at the statement of Asfandyar Wali in which the ANP leader had
stressed all parties to accept the mandate entrusted to MQM by masses.
Dr. Farooq Sattar declared it as one of the most solid gesture of
comradeship between coalition of MQM and PML-Q that after sharing five
years of rule with PML-Q, MQM would now equally share the opposition
benches with its old political ally.
Speaking on the occasion, secretary general PML-Q, Mushahid Hussain Syed
stressed on a cohesive and prudent relationship between ruling and
opposition benches, and hoped that Yousaf Raza Gillani would take all
parties in the National political mainstream. Replying to a question
regarding reinstatement of judges he advised all to wait and see.
Senior Vice Presidnet of PPP Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Chaudhry Pervez Ellah
of PML-Q, Farooq Sattar of MQM, Asfandyar of ANP, Maulana
Fazal-u-rRehman of JUI-F and others congratulated Yousuf Raza Gillani on
his election as the Prime Minister. In speech on the floor of the
National Assembly, they vowed to leave no stone unturned for the
stability of democracy in the country. Makhdoom Amin Fahim paid glowing
tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and said the sacrifice of life by
Benzir Bhutto was behind the PPP thumbing victory, which had resulted
into restoration of democracy in Pakistan.
