Pakistan Day celebrated in Paris

ISLAMABAD—A flag-hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan, Paris to celebrate Pakistan Day. According to a message received here from Paris, the ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran. As the national anthem was played, the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Ms. Asma Anisa hoisted the National Flag. The Ambassador read out the messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan to mark the occasion. She urged the gathering to renew its pledge to work towards the progress, prosperity and well being of Pakistan. The ceremony was attended by a large number of the Pakistani community based in Paris. The Embassy also organized a reception at the Chancery for French dignitaries, social elite of the city and the diplomatic community. The function was widely attended.
