PML-N to
boycott PM’s oath taking
ISLAMABAD—Central Leader Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Javed Hashmi has
said that no Party Member National Assembly (MNA) would take part in the
oath taking ceremony of newly elected Prime Minister today (Tuesday).
Talking to media men outside the Parliament house, he made it clear,
neither he would take oath from President for Ministry nor any Party MNA
would participate in the oath taking ceremony of the Prime Minister. The
Pakistan Peoples Party, Hashmi said, has been informed in this respect.
The detained judges who refused to take oath under Provincial
Constitutional Ordnance (PCO) would be released automatically after
taking oath by the new Prime Minister, he pointed out.
The decision to make Federal Cabinet would be taken within two days, he
said, adding that, the decision to take oath from President by Federal
Cabinet would also be taken jointly. The consensus between PPP and
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is only for the selection of Prime
Minister, as PML-N has several reservations on MQM, Hashmi said.—Online |
