AIOU, BDI ink MoU for joint educational programmes in Middle East

ISLAMABAD—Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and Business Development Institute (BDI) Tuesday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for offering AIOU educational programmes under joint brand-names in the Middle East.
Under the agreement, the Business Development Institute would represent the AIOU as their Representatives/Approved Study Centres throughout the Middle East. A signing ceremony took place at the AIOU Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat here and Ilyas Ahmed, Registrar AIOU and Atif S. Farooqi, Executive Director, Business Development Institute Karachi signed the MoU.
Dr Mehmood H. Butt, the Vice Chancellor AIOU, appreciated the services of BDI as an approved study centre of AIOU for the last ten years in developing the human capital. Ali Asghar Hasnain, Country Director AIOU, while appreciating the move to extend AIOU offering in Middle East also commented that this would give an opportunity to Overseas Pakistanis especially in the Middle East to benefit out of quality driven academic programmes of AIOU offered by the BDI in the Middle East.—Online
