Motorway police recovers stolen land cruiser

ISLAMABAD—Motorway Police recovered a stolen Land Cruisar and handed it over to its owner while in another incident, the NH&MP arrested three culprits alongwith arms and ammunition, who fired on a women and fled away.
As per details, the Motorway Police was informed by Local Police that a Land Cruiser No. LOU-543 has been stolen from the jurisdiction of Police Station Margalla.
On this information, the Motorway Police alerted all its patrolling vehicles. After few minutes, the Motorway Police observed the said vehicle with fake number plate in the area of Chakri on Motorway near Islamabad Toll Plaza. The officers tried to stop but the culprits instead of stopping tried to flee away. However, on chasing of NH&MP officers, the culprits stopped left the vehicle and escaped from the scene.
The Motorway Police officers took the vehicle into their custody and informed the local police, which is in search of the absconders.
In another incident, the local police informed the Motorway Police that three armed culprits gunned down a woman and had escaped in a Dalla No. LEX-6999. On this information, the Motorway Police alerted all its patrolling vehicles and after few minutes, the officers of NH&MP stopped the said vehicle near Kamonke on GT Road and arrested three culprits traveling in the vehicle named Shakeel Ahmed, Muhammad Anwar and Irshad Ahmed r/o Gujranwala.
During their search, one 222 rifle with 150 live rounds and one SMG Gun with 190 live rounds have been recovered. Motorway Police took the arms, ammunition and vehicle into custody and informed the local police.
Later on, the recovered vehicles, arms and ammunitions and the arrested culprits were handed over to local police for further legal action and investigation.
