Kazakh envoy calls on Rector, President IIU

ISLAMABAD—Republic of Kazakhstan would cooperate with the International Islamic University (IIU) in academic field, said Kazakh Ambassador to Pakistan, Barkhit Bek Shabarby. During a meeting with Dr Manzoor Ahmed, Rector IIU and Dr Anwar Hussain Siddiqui President of the university here on Monday, both the sides exchanged their views about extending academic cooperation between IIU and Kazakh Universities, says a statement issued here today. The meeting also reviewed preparations of “Reflection Group Meeting” to be held in Astana on April 2-3, 2008 which will finalize arrangements of ministerial Meeting of countries representing Muslim world and the West, in October this year under the theme of “One Common World: Progress through Diversity”. —Agencies
