3 policemen killed in suicide attack

SWAT—A Suicide bomb attack on Mangora Police Lines has claimed lives of one SHO and two Sub-Inspectors besides injuring eight people. A police constable eyewitness of the incident told that one person came to the gatekeeper pretending to be friend of the SHO and asked for a meeting with him.
The police personnel deputed here took him to the SHO, who immediately identified him as suicide bomber, while he blew himself up, killing SHO Toor Gul Khan, SI Inayat Khan and one other SI. Eight other injured soldiers named Aziz, Liaqat, Nisar, Sardar Bahadar and Ali Murad have been shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital, where they are being provided medical aid.
Sources said that police have found the head, arms and legs of the suicide bomber. Meanwhile, Caretaker Chief Minister NWFP, Shamus Mulk has strongly condemned suicide attack and termed it as a heinous act. He also condoled with the bereaved families over the loss of the precious lives and prayed Allah All-Mighty to rest the departed souls in eternal peace. The caretaker CM also directed the hospital authorities to take good care of the wounded.—Agencies
