Makhdoom resigns from PS-44

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan People’s party (PPP) Vice-Chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim has sent his resignation from his seat PS-44 to party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday. According to a private TV channel, Amin Fahim will keep his seat NA-218. Makhdoom Amin Fahim said it is nothing but a rumour that he is no more running for the premiership, adding he is still the candidate for the top position of the country. “I am not attempting any division in the party,” he added.—Online
