Probe launched into suicide blasts as dead buried

Lahore—Five suspicious persons including Imam-e-Masjid have been arrested after two suicide bomb blasts in Lahore while government has trace out the suspects alleged to be involved in suicide attack on FIA building.
According to a private TV channel during different raids by law enforcement agencies at different places after Lahore suicide attacks arrested a resident of NawaKot-Band road Qari Rehmat-ullah Tonsi and his four guests.
Qari Rehmat-ullah Tonsi’s wife informed to a private TV channel that heavy contingent of police and other personnel in simple dress had surrounded her house and arrested her husband Imam-e-Masjid Qari Rehmat-ullah Tonsi and his four guests who had come from Dera Ghazi Khan. They were alleged to be involved in suicide attack on FIA headquarter and model town.
Qari Rehmat-ullah Tonsi’s wife however said that when she went to police station Nawa-Kot, police denied any arrest. Meanwhile government has trace out the suspects alleged to be involved in suicide attack on FIA building. Same types of vehicles are used in both bomb blasts. DIG investigation Ch. Tassadaq Hussain disclosed that half part of head and one leg has find out from roof of a nearby building.
He further said that 35 to 40 kilogram explosive material used in these attacks and targeted special investigation group and investigation units, adding, special investigation group was working on third floor of FIA building from last five years.
Workers of this cell were trained by America and this special investigation group was equipped with latest equipment and it was also linked with an American research institute, he added. He said different clues have been gathered from the spot and investigation is being carried out in its light.
Vital clues have been detected in connection with Tuesday’s blasts in FIA’s building in Lahore, Director General FIA Tariq Pervaiz said Wednesday. The network and accomplices of suicide bombers would be uncovered soon. Talking to Aaj News he said, foreign hand cannot be ignored in the suicide attacks.However without a solid proof nothing concrete can be said in this regard.
Law enforcement agencies have gained a lot in this war against terror and smashed many networks. Terrorists are targeting law enforcers and yesterday’s attack was continuation of this dastardly act of terrorists, he added. Punjab and NWFP are prime targets in recent wave of terrorist activities, he said. This year terrorists have struck 11 times , including five blasts in NWFP and six in Punjab.
New dimension is added in recent attacks as 40kg explosive was used in the recent blast to ensure maximum damages.It shows that terrorists have gained more experience.
