Annual conference of Society of Hematology on 14th

ISLAMABAD—10th annual three-day conference of Pakistan Society of Hematology will be held here at Pakistan Institute of Hematology from Friday.
More than 300 delegates will attend the conference from all parts of the country. Multiple seminars on current topics, hands-on-workshops, lectures and scientific research paper sessions will be held. The subjects of the seminar included blood transfusion, stem cell transplantation, thalassemia and bone marrow failure syndromes (aplastic anemia, congenital bone marrow syndromes and current management strategies of Myelodysplastic syndromes.
Four sessions of free original research papers have been arranged. Major representation will be from AFIP Rawalpindi, Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi, Children Hospital
Lahore, Sheikh Zaiyed Hospital Lahore Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Islamabad, Hussaini Blood Bank Karachi, Bismillah Taqi Institute of Medical Sciences Karachi and Armed Forces Institute of Bone Marrow Transplant center Rawalpindi.
Many interactive scientific workshops are being arranged for those working in various hospitals on topics included basic blood transfusion techniques, advanced blood techniques, blood and bone marrow morphology, coagulation and bleeding disorders.
The lectures on important topics will be delivered by eminent hematologists on Molecular Hematology: The Pakistani Perspective, Von Willebrand Disease, Current concepts in Management, epidemiology of Thalassemia in Pakistan and Phenotypic Heterogeneity and Treatment Options.
Pakistan Society of Hematology was founded ten years back with an aim to promote and co-ordinate in the academic activities all over the country.
