Conspiracies brewing against Murree declaration: Kurd

RAWALPINDI—Lawyers leader Ali Ahmad Kurd has warned conspiracies are being hatched in Aiwan-e-Sadr against Murree declaration.
“It is spelt out in categorical terms in Murree declaration that deposed judges will be reinstated within a month. But conspiracies are brewing against it in Aiwan-e-Sadr. Political leadership has given a longer deadline for restoration of judges but no one will be allowed to create any hurdle on the way to reinstatement of judges”, he said this while addressing lawyers gathering here in district bar association here Tuesday.
High court bar president Sardar Asmat Ullah, president district bar Sardar Tariq Masood, former minister for minorities J Salik and others also spoke on the occasion.
Kurd warned if any bid is made to block the restoration of deposed judges then the conspirators would not be allowed to cross the threshold of Supreme court. “We are fighting war for the sake of truth. This is the war for which it was said those wearing black coats couldn’t fight this war more than a week. But black coats have proved they will take this war to the logic end. We will not tolerate dictatorship even for a minute”, he announced. A dictator asked the chief of superior judiciary to resign but he refused to do so, Kurd added.
President High Court Bar Association Sardar Asmat Ullah hoped the deposed judges would soon be reinstated and then the accountability of gang of thieves will start.
Former federal minister J Salik said minorities would extend full support to the lawyers in their movement for restoration of judges. We will not allow any dictator to flee from the country”, he announced.
