Conspiracies brewing against Murree
declaration: Kurd
By Saad Ahmed
RAWALPINDI—Lawyers leader Ali Ahmad Kurd has warned conspiracies are
being hatched in Aiwan-e-Sadr against Murree declaration.
“It is spelt out in categorical terms in Murree declaration that deposed
judges will be reinstated within a month. But conspiracies are brewing
against it in Aiwan-e-Sadr. Political leadership has given a longer
deadline for restoration of judges but no one will be allowed to create
any hurdle on the way to reinstatement of judges”, he said this while
addressing lawyers gathering here in district bar association here
Tuesday.
High court bar president Sardar Asmat Ullah, president district bar
Sardar Tariq Masood, former minister for minorities J Salik and others
also spoke on the occasion.
Kurd warned if any bid is made to block the restoration of deposed
judges then the conspirators would not be allowed to cross the threshold
of Supreme court. “We are fighting war for the sake of truth. This is
the war for which it was said those wearing black coats couldn’t fight
this war more than a week. But black coats have proved they will take
this war to the logic end. We will not tolerate dictatorship even for a
minute”, he announced. A dictator asked the chief of superior judiciary
to resign but he refused to do so, Kurd added.
President High Court Bar Association Sardar Asmat Ullah hoped the
deposed judges would soon be reinstated and then the accountability of
gang of thieves will start.
Former federal minister J Salik said minorities would extend full
support to the lawyers in their movement for restoration of judges. We
will not allow any dictator to flee from the country”, he announced. |
