FC seize arms, drugs

CHAMAN—Balochistan Frontier Corps on Tuesday foiled a potential terrorism bid by seizing a cache of arms and drugs from Rabto Karaiz near Chaman during a raid on Tuesday. Commandant FC Chaman Colonel Agha Habib told the journalists that the seizure included 6 LMGs, 2 Pistols, 10 rounds of 82MM Mortar, 3 Rockets, 100 rounds of Kalashnikov and 140 high quality Hashish. He said recovered arms were smuggled from Afghanistan in a car which had to be used in carrying out terrorism subversive activities across the country. Meanwhile, in another raid the FC Chaman seized 2000 kilogram flour laden on a pickup near Pak-Afghan border .However, no arrest could be made from the scene. He said security along Pak-Afghan border has been further tightened to check illegal cross border movement and smuggling.
