ICCI to continue efforts for welfare of masses: Ijaz Abbasi

ISLAMABAD—President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi on Monday said that NGOs, Donors and Welfare Organizations are playing vital role for the welfare and uplift of the people. Similarly welfare organizations and NGOs are available in Pakistan one of those is Khubaib Foundation.
He appreciated the role of foundation and said it has been working for the welfare of the people and assistance to the people in earth quake for the two years. Ijaz Abbasi assured the Chairman Foundation of his full cooperation and appealed to the business community to help the welfare organizations.
Muhamamd Ijaz Abbasi President said that it is imperative to build trust to keep intact a welfare organization. He further said that due to non-confidence many welfare organizations have been eliminated therefore it is important that people that people should have trust on such organizations.
He said that Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been providing and giving full support to the welfare organizations. He said that ICCI has provided 5 million donations at the time of earthquake and also established hospital for the victim. He said that ICCI has started a Lunger for the poor segment of society and is providing lunch to150-200 people daily.
He further said that besides business community ICCI is working on projects like establishment of a dispcensary, school and upgradation of Al-Shifa Hospital to facilitate the general public.
Nadeem Ahmed Chairman Khubaib Foundation said that foundation is working for the welfare of the general public, poverty alleviation and progress of the country assisting project like Hospials, Technical Colleges and establishment of Universities. He further said that Foundation has been working in earth quake hit areas very effectively.
Nadeem further said that in education sector foundation will send students abroad on scholarships and to overcome unemployment imparting technical education so that people could earn livelihood with honour. He appealed to the business community to come forward and cooperate with Foundation, so that it could continue its activities.
