India reciprocates prisoner with coffin

ISLAMABAD—Foreign Office Spokesperson, Muhammad Sadiq has expressed severe resentment on the Indian government for hiding the issue of death of Khalid Mehmood in Indian jail.
While talking to Online he said that death of the Khalid Mehmood (40) resident of Lahore was not only a regrettable incident, but also an important one but Indian government had deliberately kept the government of Pakistan uninformed about this incident which amounted to sheer violation of human rights. “ We have been informed after 20-days of the death of Khalid Mehmood which is not only violation of human rights but also against the moral and religious norms”, he said. He further said that government of Pakistan is in close contact with the concerned Indian authorities, and would bring the facts to the nation as soon as any progress occurs. In repose to a question regarding release of Kashmir Sindh from Pakistani jail and death of Khalid Mehmood in Indian jail, the Spokesman said that the release of Kashmir Sindh was made on purely humanitarian grounds, in the light of Islamic teachings.—Agencies
