3 more avenues to be constructed

ISLAMABAD—After the opening of two signal-free roads in the federal capital, the Capital Development Authority will soon initiate the construction work on three more main avenues including the 11th Avenue, 10th Avenue and 6th Avenue.
The CDA would start the construction work on 11th Avenue in the upcoming month, as it has already finalised the layout plan and cost of the project.
According to the plan, in the first phase, the authority will construct a 3.75km-long portion of the road with a cost of Rs362 million. The new avenue will link Khayaban-e-Iqbal with Margalla Road while passing through the sectors including G-10 and G-11. The new signal-free road will have four lanes and the project would be completed within a year. Five underpasses would be constructed each at Kashmir Highway, sectors F-10 and F-11, Nazimuddin Road, Ibn-e-Sena Road and Sohan Road.—Online
