Row between CDA, I-11 affectees deepens

ISLAMABAD—The row between the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and affectees of the construction of a road in the Sector I-11 has deepened and the work has been stopped by the Construction Company on the resistance of affectees.
The construction work of one road, however, has been started after the negotiations held between Director Land and Rehabilitation, Asad Ullah Faiz and affectees. The affectees have said that the construction company would not be allowed to carryout the construction of other roads until the fulfillment of their demands. The Constructer Chaudhary Anwar has the stance that CDA awarded him the construction work of roads in Sector I-11 but the resistance from the affectees is causing loss to the company. —Agencies
