Dr A Q Khan leaves hospital

ISLAMABAD—Dr A Q Khan has been shifted to his residence after being discharged from the hospital.
Dr Khan was shifted to his residence after gaining significant improvement in his health. Further treatment as required would be provided to Dr Khan at his residence, the sources added. Dr AQ Khan was admitted to the hospital on March 5, with symptoms of fever and low blood pressure. Later, he was treated for enteric fever and endotoximia infection. He was also examined by cardiologist and his heart was found healthy with normal functioning.
Dr Khan is being treated by the penal of doctors of his choice. Disgraced Pakistani nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan, who is suffering from cancer, has been discharged from hospital after recovering from fever and infection, a state-run news agency said on Sunday. Khan, revered by many in Pakistan as the father of its atomic bomb, has been held under house arrest in the capital, Islamabad, since an investigation was launched against him in 2003. Shortly after that he made a televised confession to smuggling nuclear technology to Libya, North Korea and Iran.
