PTCL cable theft causes inconvenience to customers

ISLAMABAD—Some unknown persons have cut underground cable of PTCL affecting 900 pairs and causing interruption of telephone service in different areas of the federal capital, said the spokesperson of PTCL Business Zone North.
According to a press release, a malicious cut of PTCL underground cables occurred on Embassy Road in Sector F-6/4 and caused interruption in F-6/4, Super Market F-6/2, Sector F-6/1 Saidpur Village and other adjacent areas. Due to this cut, service on 680 telephones was disrupted. After getting the information, he said, PTCL staff rushed to the site and started restoration work. He assured that telephone service would be restored soon as the staff is was making hectic efforts in this regard.—Online
