Dist Bar Pindi meets today

RAWALPINDI—Strongly commending the publication of blasphemous caricatures in dailies of Denmark, District Bar Association Rawalpindi has convened its emergent meeting today (Saturday).
The lawyers after meeting will hold protest rally against Government of Denmark, said Secretary District Bar Sajid Khan while addressing the press conference alongwith Joint Secretary Humera Abbasi, member Punjab Bar Council Zafar Mehmood Mughal and Sheikh Suleman Advocate here on Friday.
A ceremony to hoist black flag at bar would be held on March 10 in Rawalpindi Bar Association, he said, adding that, the lawyer under dynamic leadership of President Supreme Court Bar Association Chaudhary Aitzaz Ahsan would visit residence of deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad on March 09. On March 10, he said, Ali Ahmed Kurd and anchorperson Talat would address Distirct Bar.
There would be complete strike in Rawalpindi Bar akin to other bar of the country on March 10 and 13, Secretary District Bar Sajid Khan said. He said that All Pakistan lawyer convention on call of Punjab Bar Council is going to be held on March 15. President Supreme Court Bar Association Aitzaz Ahsan would participate in the reception hosted by traders community in his honour on March 08, he said. Answering to a question, he said, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan is our national hero. The nations face downfall who do not respect their hero, he pointed out. There are several threats to Qadeer's life, he said, adding that, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan should be released soon. He demanded Government to cut diplomatic ties with Government of Denmark and call back its ambassador by expelling envoy of Denmark.

Special preparations have been made for a 50' long, 50' wide and 7' high stage, and strict checking procedures would be taken while entering the venue. All necessary preparations for prayer congregation and ablutions have also been made.
While addressing a meeting after reviewing the ongoing preparations for the event, the secretary general of Jamaat Ahle Sunnah, Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah informed that massive groups of participants would start pouring in today night at the conference considered as a landmark occasion for global preaching of Islam, and integrity of the Federation.
Allama Sahib informed that the conference which would start early in morning at 1000 hrs would continue till late night, and assured that fool proof steps have been taken by police and law enforcement agencies to ensure security measures, while volunteers from the organization would also assist.
Many other political leaders, intelligentsia, lawyers etc have also been invited to attend the occasion.
He also condemned the blasphemy issue and announced to convene a joint strategy to foil the nefarious and evil designs of despotic forces trying to weaken Islam.
