It has been 3 wonderful years mashallah How did you start your career as an RJ?
One day I was sitting in a dhaba (college cafeteria) with my friends getting bored, thinking what to do next, suddenly one of my friend said ‘Y don’t you try your luck as an RJ, so I gave an audition at FM’91, Initially I did not get any reply for 2months then suddenly I was hired as an RJ and started my first show BACK 2 BACK.
What do you think is the best quality in you which has helped you achieve this position in your field?
I am extremely helpful to others n willing to do anything for friends and family, in return people have always helped me back.

I can never forget the day when my first niece MINELLE (my sister’s daughter) was born and I became a proud khala.
Have you received any call in your show which brings a smile to your face whenever you recall it?
Hehehehehe yes once there was a caller who said ‘apki aawaz bohot khubsoorat hai bilkul koyal ki tarhan.
What do you do in your leisure time?
Many things yaar, listening to music, writing something and helping my mother in her clothes designing ventures.
What is the first thing that you notice in a man?
If you ask me the first thing then it would be his SHOES, but apart from that a man should be intelligent, well mannered and should have a good sense of humour, I mean a man should not be like, who keeps on talking that does not make sense at all.
Tell us something about your family?
I have a gorgeous mom, an eldest sister who has 3 kids, then a brother who has a son and I am the youngest amongst the siblings.
What does music mean to you?
It means everything to me, that’s the reason my radio station has become my second home.
Tell us something which you haven’t shared with anyone else?
Why should I tell you then, hehehehehe Well when I was only seven I broke my mom’s favourite vase and threw it away quietly, till today my mom doesn’t know about it that whether it was stolen or lost, apart from that my life is an open book and everyone knows I am an extremely sensitive person.
What are you doing these days?
Well a lot of things, I love my job and radio shows are gelled in my life like any thing, I help my mom with her designing and we are planning an exhibition very soon, I am also writing a book that will be out by mid of next year inshallah
Tell us more about your book?
Well it’s called ‘LIFE AS I SEE IT’ it is my little effort to pay a tribute to my late dad , my grandfather and my mom, its all about friendship, my world and people around me, not just a typical fairy tail which starts off like ‘There Was A King And A Queen’ and ends up at ‘And They Lived Happily Ever After’
If you wouldn’t have been in this field, what would you have been?
Hhmmm I would have been an architect I guess, I have done my bachelors in English literature though and plan to continue with my masters soon.
What are your future plans?
I’m a very day to day person, I don’t plan for future, may be coz I have had bad experiences, that I couldn’t achieve what I had planned.
Any message you would like to give to your fans?
Keep loving me and keep listening to my shows, heheheh another thing which I don’t get a chance to say often that I love u all, ohh yeah another thing that always be honest, if you are honest to yourself only then you can be honest with others and will get that in return as well.
