Sheikh Nahayan donates $ 1m to NCHD

KARACHI—Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak AL-Nahayan, UAE Minister for Higher Education who is also Patron of Pakistan Human Development Fund (PHDF), announced a donation of US $ one million to NCHD/ PHDF at a recently concluded strategic planning retreat of NCHD held in Abu-Dhabi. An announcement to this effect was made in a statement issued here on Thursday. “I was deeply touched by the NCHD school in a remote area while driving in the desert of Sindh”, said Sheikh Nahayan. Pakistan is moving in the right direction and education is the key for development and prosperity, he added. The two day strategic planning retreat of NCHD/ PHDF was attended by a large number of board members from all over the world and reviewed the progress of NCHD from its inception till to-date.—Agencies
