Capital cops arrest 180 POs in 2 months

ISLAMABAD—Islamabad City Police has arrested 180 proclaimed offenders during the last two month on going drive against the proclaimed offenders. These dangerous offenders were involved in heinous crimes like robberies, looting properties worth million of rupees through fraudulent practices.
Giving the details, SSP Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam told that Islamabad Police was directed to launch large-scale crackdown against the proclaimed offenders, Court Absconders and military deserters. Consequently the Police launched a vigorous drive and search operation against the offenders and arrested 180 proclaimed offenders during the last two month. As per detail 29 offenders were arrested from City Circle, 23 were arrested from Shalimar Circle, 12 from Industrial Aria, 33 from Saddar Circle, 29 from Secretariat Circle, 16 from Shehzad Town Circle, 37 from Rural Circle and 1 offender arrested form PS Women. SSP Islamabad Syed Kaleem Imam informed that on going drive against the proclaimed offenders will be further intensified for which directions to this effect have been issued to all SHO’s.
SSP Islamabad said that all out efforts are under way to arrest the remaining offenders as soon as possible. He said that with the arrested of these offenders crime related activities will be controlled effectively in Islamabad Capital Territory. He said that life and property of the citizen will be nursed at all cost. These measure will improve the situation bringing the crime graph to low level. Islamabad Police is adopting effective Crime control measures in Islamabad.
Operation clean up will continue and Islamabad will be purged of criminal and antisocial elements, he added.
