5 suspects in BB’s murder sent to Jail

RAWALPINDI—Judge Special Anti Terrorism Court Rawalpindi Division Chaudhry Habib-ur-Rehman has sent 5 accused to Adiyala Jail on judicial remand till March 10 for their involvement in the assassination of Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and suicide attacks.
On Thursday, the learned court was told that the challan against Rafaqat and Hussain involved in the suicide attack at some kilometer away from RA Bazar on September 04, 2007 while Hussain Gul and Rafaqat involved in another suicide attack at army check post situated at Golf Road, jurisdiction of Civil line Police Station would be presented within two weeks.
Aitzaz Shah, Sher Zaman, Rafaqat, Hussain Gul and Abdul Rashid involved in the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and suicide attacks were taken before the Judge Special Anti Terrorism Court under strict security.
Earlier, Police told the court that 5 days judicial remand of Rafaqat and Hussain was taken which ended today (Thursday). The accused were investigated but more time is needed therefore they should be sent to Adiyala Jail by granting their more judicial remand. Special Public Prosecutor Yasin Khan appeared in the court on behalf of Government. On the other hand, Provincial Government has allowed Police in written to carryout trial of accused in Jail.
