Encroachments in Pindi markets on rise

RAWALPINDI—Residents of Rawalpindi city are facing great troubles due to the increasing trend of encroachment in the city as the encroachers have griped almost all the main bazaars of Rawalpindi city. The citizens have said that one can easily find immense number of encroachments in streets and on footpaths. All markets shopping stores of Raja Bazaar, Commercial market, Saddar have extended to footpath creating troubles for the pedestrians. Owners with the mutual collaboration with tenants increase their shop area and also received fixed charges on monthly bases. Although the Municipal Administration Rawalpindi had taken serious action against the shop owners but the condition is still not satisfactory.
