Tariq Azim quits party post

ISLAMABAD—PML-Q leader Senator Tariq Azim, after humiliating defeat of PML-Q in elections, has resigned from his party post as secretary information and have apprised Party president Ch Shujaat of his decision.
Talking exclusively to Online on Tuesday Tariq Azim confirming his resignation said that after defeat of PML-Q in Feb 18 elections he has decided to resign from his post and has apprised Ch Shujaat of his decision and he hopes that his resignation would be accepted by the party president.
Tariq Azim said that he wishes that new faces come in the party and face the upcoming challenges. He said that after defeat in elections PML-Q would sit in opposition and play a constructive role for the betterment and welfare of the country.
Serious confusion emerged as PML Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain contradicted the statement of party’s Central Information Secretary Senator Tariq Azeem Khan about his resignition from the party office.
