UK wants to see Pak back into CW fold

ISLAMABAD,—British Prime Minister Gordon Brown has congratulated President Pervez Musharraf over conduct of fair and transparent elections in Pakistan saying UK wants Pakistan re-admission into Common Wealth (CW) as its important member. .
“Following the general elections UK wants to see again Pakistan to be important member of CW so that it could play its role”, Gordon Brown said this during his telephonic conversation with President Pervez Musharraf Tuesday.
Giving details of the telephonic talks between the two leaders foreign office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq told Online both president Musharraf and British PM exchanged views on political situation of Pakistan and overall situation of the region and British premier congratulated president Pervez Musharraf over fair and transparent elections in the country. British Prime Minister told he would soon send his foreign minister to Pakistan to hold talks with Pakistani leadership on the matters of mutual interest and regional situation.
