Elahi warns against repealing 58(2)b

ISLAMABAD—Former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has warned that article of 58-2 b could be used if the next assemblies witnesses confrontation. Talking to a private TV Channel, the Central Leader of Pakistan Muslim League - Q said that in its tenure, PML-Q has not taken any revengeful action against any political party and would play positive role while sitting on the opposition benches.
Responding to a question, the former CM Punjab said that over 8 million voters cast votes in the favor of PML-Q and it emerged as a powerful party. Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi further said that the leadership of PML-N had left the country on their own choice and now are dreaming to come into power but still not get the Government.
Central Leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain has said 58-2 b is functioning as a check over Government and it should not be repealed. Addressing an emergency Press Conference at his residence here on Monday, Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain said that there should be a power like 58-2 b, which could remove the Government if it made the life of people miserable.
Commenting on the accountability of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, the Central Leader of PML-Q said that all including Shaukat Aziz should held accountable. Responding to a question, Chaudhry Wajahat said that PML-Q is in position to form Government in Balochistan and all the consultations in this regard has been completed. He said that Pakistan Peoples Party would form the next Government and PML-N would play dummy role.
Commenting on the fate of the National Security Council (NSC), Chaudhry Wajahat said that the upcoming Government would take decision in this regard. He said that PML-Q is not interest in forming coalition Government, adding that the ideologies of PPP and PML-Q are totally different. He said that PML-Q would play a positive role on the opposition benches as we are in favor of Government based on strengthened parliamentary system.—Online
