NH&MP officers urged to check traffic rules violations

ISLAMABAD—Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police Muhammad Raffat Pasha on Monday urged the officers of NH&MP that traffic rules violations be strictly checked and controlled.
The IG Motorway Police who was speaking at Motorway Police Darbar in Jhelum also said that all necessary measures should be taken for the safety of road-users. He also stressed the officers that safety of road-users mustbe ensured in all respects. He said that Motorway Police earned good name and respect due to its people-friendly culture and goodbehavior.
He advised the officers of NH&MP to take special measures while stopping any violator and ensure their own safety in all respects. In this Darbar, the Fateha was also offered for Shaheed PO Muhammad Aslam Niazi, who martyred near Hyderabad. The IG said that Safety Culture be promoted and zero accident policy with in department must be ensured. He advised the DIGs and SSPs to arrange emergency mobile workshops on GT Road in the area from Peshawar to Lahore with the help of Private sector, as the road-users are facing problems due to non-availability of emergency mobile workshops in this area.
He advised that measures should also be taken to reduce the access time to accident spots so that safety of life and property is ensured.
He stressed the officers that to further reduce the accident rate, lane discipline should be enforced in all conditions. He also said that providing help to commuters, their counseling and guidance is the hallmark of the Motorway Police and it should be continued.
He also stressed the officers that safety of road-users mustbe ensured in all respects. He said that Motorway Police earned good name and respect due to its people-friendly culture and goodbehavior.
