COAS calls on President

ISLAMABAD—President Pervez Musharraf on Monday underlined the need to root out terrorism from the country said that war on terror would continue for national interest. He expressed these views while talking to Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani at Presidential Camp office on Monday.
Well-placed Sources told Online that the meeting lasted for quite a while in which host of issues were discussed in length. President told the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani that he wants smooth transition to democracy and power in the country following the completion of transparent February 18 polls in the country. He was of the view that whosoever party is in majority is free to form Government as it enjoys the mandate of the masses.
“I am ready to work with the new Government”, he maintained. President said that all-out efforts would be made to eliminate terrorism and extremism of all forms from the country. President and COAS strongly condemned Suicide Bomb attack in Darra Adam Khel.—Agencies
