ANP anoints Haider Hoti as NWFP CM

PESHAWAR—ANP provincial parliamentary party has nominated Amir Haider Khan Hoti its leader of the house and Bashir Ahmad Bilore as parliamentary leader in NWFP assembly. Parliamentary party met here Friday under party provincial president Afrasyab Khattak in Bacha Khan Markaz.
Addressing a press conference after parliamentary party meeting here Friday Afrasyab Khattak told party had unanimously nominated Amir Haider Khan as leader of the house and Bashir Bilore as parliamentary leader in NWFP assembly.
“We enjoy support of 45 members in NWFP assembly. We will complete government making process along with our allies within next two weeks”, he announced. NWFP is facing multiple problems currently , he said adding it will be our first priority to maintain law and order in the province. ANP will take measures to eradicate poverty and unemployment from the province besides taking control over its resources, he held. He indicated no decision with regard to nomination of members of the cabinet had been taken so far This matter will be resolved with mutual consultation within the party , he added. “We will forge consensus with our allies on the issue of change of name of the province”, he announced. “We have selected a young leader who have all the capabilities and potential to solve the problems and put the province on road to progress and development.”
He said that employment to people, socio economic uplift of down-trodden and resolution of core issues faced by the province and its people in the past would be addressed on sound footings as per the wishes and aspiration of the people in accordance with the vision of late Khudai Khidmatgar Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan alias Bacha Khan. “I express my gratitude to my party and parliamentary leader for expressing unwavering confidence in me and assure you that I will utilize all my capabilities to serve the people and the province in most befitting manner.
