Rs7.7m donated for flood victims in Vietnam

ISLAMABAD—Pakistan on Friday donated an amount of Pak Rs 7.7 million as a gesture of goodwill and friendship with the people of Vietnam who were recently affected by severe floods resulting in big loss of life and property.
Pakistan's Ambassador to Vietnam G. R. Baluch presented a cheque to the Deputy Foreign Minister of Vietnam, who conveyed deep gratitude of the people and Government of Vietnam to the people and Government of Pakistan for their generous contribution and said that the amount will be utilized to alleviate the sufferings of flood victims in central provinces of the country.
Pakistan accords high priority to its relations with countries of South East Asian region, an important element of our vision East Asia Policy. Pakistan enjoys close ties of friendship and cooperation with Vietnam.
All aspects of bilateral cooperation including in political, economic and cultural fields between Pakistan and Vietnam are progressing at an encouraging pace. Both countries recently celebrated 35 years of establishment of diplomatic relations.
