Notification of successful candidates to be issued by 5th Mar: Dilshad

ISLAMABAD—The Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to issue official notification of successful candidates in recent general elections, before 05 March.
In an interview granted to BBC Urdu, secretary Election Commission, Kanwar Dilshad said that the result would be dispatched to relevant National and Provincial assemblies, after convening the meeting of Election Commission on 01st March.
He further elaborated that according to the law all the candidates were required to submit their electoral expenditure to the returning officer within ten days, according to which the last date falls on 28 Feb.
After the official notification of successful candidates the independent ones would have three days to join their chosen party. The majority party would be than allocated women and minority seats.
After the issuing of official notification the government, would announce the date for oath taking, while bye-elections would take place after relevant assemblies take their oaths, which should conclude within two-month time.
