RAWALPINDI—All the Parks situated in vicinity of Rawal Town lacks
facilities and entertainment opportunities due to mismanagement and

A large number of people visit the Shamsabad Park for a small break from
daily routine. Rides, a major attraction for children and benches has
almost broken while mechanical rides are also unsafe because of faulty
power systems and old machinery. A few drug addicts were also seen in
the corners. A senior official in Rawal Town Administration said that
they were aware of the deteriorating condition of the park and had sent
a proposal to higher authorities for its improvement. “We lack funds and
staff to maintain the park. We have asked the authorities for funding so
that we can recruit staff for maintenance of the park,” he said.
In B-Block, Municipal Park-III is being ignored by the authorities, as
college students were seen playing crickets there. Games like cricket
and football etc are prohibited in parks. The students playing in the
park told Online that nobody had asked them to leave the park Satellite
Town is thought to be the most expensive residential area in Rawalpindi.
The people living in the town are considered well established but the
