LAP to pay tributes to Amir Hamza Shinwari

PESHAWAR—The Literary Academy Pakistan Peshawar chapter has arranged a special ceremony to pay rich tributes to renowned Pushto poet, scholar, researcher and father of the Ghazal genre, Amir Hamza Khan Shinwari on February 29 here at Abaseen Arts Council. The well-known Pushto poet Qamar Rahi would preside over the event whereas son of Amir Hamza Shinwari, who is also a famous poet, Murad Shinwari would be chief guest on the occasion. Famous Urdu Poet Sajjad Babar and Hindko poet Sabir Hussain, Professor Nasir Ali Syed, Prof. Yar Muhammad Maghmoom and Prof. Aslam Taseer would shed light on the life and literary services of the late Amir Hamza Shinwari.—Online
