Gastasap Khan loses to MMA candidate

PESHAWAR—Former leader of opposition in the NWFP Assembly and independent candidate from PF-55 Mansehra-III has lost election to MMA candidate Mufti Kifayatullah in the recently general elections. Mufti Kifayatullah was former provincial spokesman of MMA NWFP and has association with Jamiat Ulema Islam Fazlur Rehman Group. Shahzada Muhammad Gastasap Khan was inducted as caretaker Minister for Interior in the present NWFP caretaker setup but quit the portfolio and contested the election from his home constituency. He has been elected to the provincial assembly in the past and remained Minister for P&D.—Agencies
