SECP sets up free medical camp for employees, families

ISLAMABAD—The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in collaboration with a team of pharmaceutical companies i.e. Wilsons, Abbott, Aventis, Lilly, Ferozsons set up a medical camp to conduct free of cost medical tests covering around 100 employees of SECP and their immediate families.
In the first round of the medical camp, tests were carried out for blood sugar, bone mass density (BMD) and S. Cholesterol. In the next round employees and their families were examined for Hepatitis B & C screening, Micro albuminuria (test for earlier stage of kidney damage), Hb A ,C and Hb %.
According to Human Resources & Training Division of SECP, the medical camp is regularly arranged to facilitate low-paid employees and their families. The HRD in collaboration with pharmaceutical companies also plans to provide further treatment to the patients identified with the above diseases.
The medical camp is part of a health awareness programme of SECP for its employees. In a similar medical camp last year, Hepatitis A, B and C vaccination was also provided.—Agencies
