Ex-Ministers should accept verdict of people: Bukhari
By Fakhar Alam

ISLAMABAD—Federal Minister for Environment and Local Government Wajid Hussain Bukhari said that the mandate and foremost obligation of the Caretaker Government was to hold fair, free and transparent general elections in the country and it has executed this duty to the best its abilities and with a full commitment.
The care taker government was not supposed to make the success of a particular group possible. The unprecedented transparent, fair free and peaceful elections held in the country have not only been appreciated by the independent observers but also applauded by the democratic nations world over.
In a statement issued here Tuesday the minister said that Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Ijaz ul Haq and other former ministers should better analyse the true causes of their defeat in the elections rather than criticizing the caretaker government in this regard.
The minister said that former ministers should not hold the caretaker government responsible for the shortage of flour, electricity and gas. The minister said that this crisis had not emerged in days and that the caretaker government has salved these lingering problems. The minister said that it would be better if the former ministers whole heartedly accept the verdict of the people instead of criticizing the caretaker government for their defeat.
