President, PM review transfer of power

ISLAMABAD—A meeting between President/PM discussed current political scenario, law and order situation, and other issues, including assurances of smooth transfer of power by middle of March.
The meeting held on Tuesday, expressed deep and profound grief over loss of such precious lives as martyrdom of seven citizens including a senior Surgeon, General Hamid Mushtaq Baig.
They strongly condemned the nefarious efforts of certain elements bent on creating a situation of law and order in Country, and vowed to foil their evil designs. The President also hoped for elected government to take stringent measures against extremism and terrorism, and root it out.
They also lauded free, fair, transparent and peaceful elections held on 18th Feb, and President assured of a smooth and steady transfer of power to elected representatives by middle of March. President Musharraf expressed his willingness to adjust with any government in better interest of Nation acting in tandem in all affairs of National institutions.—Online.
