Shujaat rules out splinter group

ISLAMABAD—Vowing to support President Pervez Musharraf, President Pakistan Muslim League - Q, Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain has said that his party is united and dispelled the impression that there is any forward block in the party.
Talking to a private TV Channel, the President PML-Q his party would sit on the opposition benches and play its role for the strengthening of the democratic process.
Commenting on coalition between Pakistan Peoples Party and PML-N, the veteran politician said that the life of such coalition would be short.
He said that we have majority in the senate and would support the policies of President Pervez Musharraf in the Senate, adding that PML-Q was not defeated due to its policies adopted in the last five years. Victories and defeats are the part in elections and PPP and PML-N also faced defeats twice in the previous General Elections, he added.
