PML-N will not join Govt if judiciary is not restored, says Hashmi

ISLAMABAD—Senior Vice President Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Makhdoom Javed Hashmi and Central Information Secretary Ahsan Iqbal have said that the party would provide required majority to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for the formation of the Government but would not become part of any Government if the judiciary is not restored. Talking to newsmen Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said, PML-Q has never been a party, adding that, 20 Members of Punjab Assembly (MPAs), eight Members of National Assembly (MNAs) and eight senators have contacted him to join PML-N.
No Party is in such majority to form Government therefore any party will have take along other for formation of Government, Hashmi said. We will support the PPP on formation of the Government but so far as the reinstatement of deposed judges are concerned it is our priority, he maintained. We will stick to our stand despite supporting the PPP in formation of the Government but we will not be come party of any government if the judiciary is not restored.
PPP, he said, have assured PML-N that the deposed judges would be reinstated but some elements are trying their level best to create hurdles in this respect.
Meanwhile, Central Information Secretary Ahsan Iqbal told a private TV Channel that despite not having majority in the center, PML-N with help of other Parties would reinstate the deposed judges. If there was majority of PML-N in the center then we would not take help of other parties for restoration of judiciary, he said, adding that, our central secretariat is in illegal possession of PML-Q in Islamabad.
The masses gave their verdict during Feb 18 elections that they want rule of law and constitution, he concluded.
