Health maila planned to be held for residents of twin cities

ISLAMABAD—An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Executive Director PIMS Dr Abdulmajeed Rajput. All heads of different commities formed for PIMS 5th symposium attended the meeting.
ED PIMS was told about the performances of different commities i.e Food, scientific.reception, recreation and media commities. It was decided that before the symposium which is for 3 days 6,7,8th march pre symposium events will be started. First event will be “HEALTH MAILA”which will be of one day on 2nd march. First time in history of PIMS a health maila will be held for residents of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.It will start at 10.am on 2nd march and close at 5pm on same day. Different companies and departments will open the stalls especially for children and families. Childrens from different schools will also attend the maila. Different stalls of food,face painting ,entertainment and health education will be established. There will be no entry fees and food will be provided on subsidised rates.
People will be told about prevention of different diseases on different clinical stalls.Special attention will be paid to children disease prevention.Various stalls of blood pressure check up ,sugar.eyesight and various tests will be done free of cost. PIMS administration invites all the media and residents of twin cities on this occasion .
A musical pragramme is also arranged by the entertainment committee headed by prof.
MUMTAZ Hassanand assistd by Dr Altaf director children hospital. A puppet show and musical chair programme will also be the part of maila.A film show regarding health education will also be shown to families.
PIMS ED told that such healthy activities should also be initiated in different hospitals of country so that a healthy activity should help in prevention of various diseases of children and adults including the diseases prevalent in pregnant females .
This mala will be followed by one week of sports gala in which different teams will play different games like hockey,football,volley ball,cricket ,swimming, cycling ang frog race etc. This sports gala will be arranged by prof.Imran sikander and his team.
