Senate session today

ISLAMABAD—The 42nd session of the Senate would be held in the Parliament House today (Monday) under the chairmanship of acting chairman Jan Muhammad Jamali at 4 pm.
According to details, the tenure of current parliamentary year is going to end on March 11, 2008.
The matters relating to terrorist incidents in the country, suicide attacks, law and order situation, the political scenario after general elections, cancellation of PEMRA ordinance, audio tape of attorney general Malik Qayyum and others matters would be included in the agenda of the session.
The session would be adjourned with out any proceeding after offering fateha of veteran politician and Senator Sarwar Mehmood Kakar on the first day while on Tuesday adjournment motions submitted by opposition members would be debated. It is worth-mentioning here that this session of Senate has been summoned on the requisition of opposition members.—Agencies
