‘Implementation of Shariat only solution to country's problems’

ISLAMABAD—Khateeb of Lal Masjid Maulana Abdul Ghaffar on Friday underlined that solution to all problems in the country lies in implementation of Shariat.
While addressing a Jumma sermon in lal Masjid amid thousand of people, Khateeb of Lal Masjid Maulana Abdul Ghaffar said that we must all pray for the solidarity of the country as it is passing through a critical juncture.
He said that holding of peaceful elections on February 18 was an enriching sign adding we must all fight against Terrorists and Extremists as they are weakening the roots of the country.
He was of the view that new Government must adopt a reconciliation path urging implementation of Shariat in true letter and spirit is the only solution to all problems in the country.
He said that past leaders made a havoc of Lal Masjid issue adding it must not be repeated again as it is a Sacred place and not a place to settle issues.
Meanwhile stringent security measures were taken inside and outside the Mosque during Friday sermon.—Agencies
