Iran to hold business expo in May

ISLAMABAD—Iran will hold an exhibition of its products in Pakistan in May with an aim to provide opportunity to its businessmen to introduce their products in the Pakistani market, said First Secretary of Embassy of Iran in Islamabad, Mohsin Pak Parvar on Friday.
In a meeting, with President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi he said automobile sector in his country was growing rapidly and Pakistan could collaborate with Iran in this sector for technical know-how and producing quality cars at low cost. Mohsin Pak Parvar said that Iran could join hands with Pakistan in the sectors of food processing, power plants, spareparts and road construction equipment. The President ICCI said the present volume trade between the two countries was very low as compared to their existing potential. He said trade could be enhanced through regular exchange of business delegations and by holding trade exhibitions.
He informed that there was a great scope of trade in sectors of rice, garments, sports and marble between the country. He invited Iranian business delegations to visit Pakistan for developing business linkages with the business community here. He said that Iranian businessmen could find tremendous opportunities to invest in different sectors in Pakistan. The meeting was attended by former President ICCI Munawar Moughal, Vice President ICCI Abdul Ghaffar Chaudhry, former Vice President ICCI Mehmood Ahmed Warriach and Executive Members ICCI Shakeel Warriach and Muhammad Ilyas. Ijaz Abbasi, President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Friday said that trade can be enhanced through regular exchange of business delegations and holding of trade exhibitions at both sides.
President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi, while talking to Mohsin Pak Parvar, First Secretary of Embassy of Iran in Islamabad said that the present volume of trade between the two countries is very low as compared to the existing potential. Ijaz Abbasi said that Iran is an oil producing country and can help Pakistan in meeting its fuel requirements. He said that the Gas pipeline project should be completed soon, that will help Pakistan in over coming the present energy crises.
He said that Iran can further collaborate with Pakistan in the sectors of rice, garments, sports and marble for accelerating the two way trade.
President informed that Export Display Center of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry shall be completed soon, in which export quality products across Pakistan will be displayed.
He invited Iranian business delegations for a visit to Pakistan for developing business linkages with Pakistani businessmen having similar field of interest. He said that Iranian businessmen can find tremendous opportunity of investment in Pakistan in many sectors.
Pak Parvar, First Secretary informed that in May 2008, Iran hold an exhibition of Iranian products in Pakistan comprising four major , which will give an excellent opportunity to Iranian businessmen to introduce their products in the Pakistani market. He said that the Automobile sector in Iran is growing fast and Pakistan can collaborate with Iran in this sector for technical know how and for producing good quality and low cost cars.
He further indicated that Iran can join hands with Pakistan in the sectors of food processing, power plants, spare parts, road construction equipment etc. for the enhancement of trade. He also invited a delegation of Pakistani businessmen for a visit to Iran for B2B business meeting with the Iranian businessmen.
